Lynne takes us back to personally experience life on a pirate ship and a plantation in ways that make a reader think they have actually stepped back in time. I know I’m reading a good book when the characters occupy my mind — when the book is not even in my hands. Thanks for a wonderful story Lynne, I look forward to your next one.

I wish to thank Shawn and Mike who encouraged me before the book was published. We’ve come a long way in less than a year!

The book is a wonderful love and action story. My daughter sent a copy that you signed with my name. That meant a lot! Thank you for writing the book and keep them coming.

Kudos to Lynne Marie for The Seahawk’s Sanctuary, which grabbed me immediately from the very first page and was really hard to put down. I found myself happily transported to another time and place. The world of pirate ships, South Carolina plantations, and Charles Town in the late 18th century really came alive for me in this book. The stormy, passionate relationship between the two main characters, Grant and Victoria, was captivating right from the start, and continued to be throughout the book. I just loved immersing myself in the fireworks between these two! Plenty of light, humorous moments, often involving the supporting characters in the book, provided a delightful contrast to the central drama. The plot moved along at a brisk clip, and there was a nifty twist at the end that cleverly resolved Grant’s problems. Altogether, I’d say that The Seahawk’s Sanctuary was a treat to read.

OMG! Hello Capt. Grant Hawthorne…He is such a dynamic character that’s so richly described, I thought he would materialize from the pages. However, I think it was very clever of Lynne Marie to introduce Victoria first. I was immediately drawn in by her ‘what’s next’ attitude while pirates are bashing on the cabin door, and her quick wit of putting on a disguise. The reader gets a good taste of her fortitude and knows she will hold her own – even against Grant. The true depth of Victoria and Grant is revealed against the vivid backgrounds of the colonial Carolina coastal region. The supporting cast of characters are well-rendered, and I especially loved spunky Mama Lil and Grant’s loyal best friend, David. The love scenes were highly sensual, but tasteful – well worth the wait. Definitely an easy read that’s hard to put down. I believe ANYONE will enjoy reading The Seahawk’s Sanctuary; it’s escapism at its best!

Lynne Marie has created an exciting and romantic novel that all readers, both male and female, will enjoy. Her characters are round and dynamic, making the reader want to turn the page for more. She has nailed both the time period and location in which the book is set, and the reader can easily visualize the characters sailing in and out of the Charleston Harbor during pre-revolutionary times. I hope to read more from this author and would love to see a sequel to The Seahawk’s Sanctuary.

I was totally blown away by this book! Hooked from the very first line, the book never let my interest lag. The characters draw you in to their world of pirates, lust, chivalry, Colonial tug-of-war, scallywags, friendship, and southern gentry, with surprising twists and turns throughout. Accuracy and depth of knowledge was apparent, which is important when writing about such historic places as Charleston and Georgetown in South Carolina; but don’t let the worry of ‘history’ scare you off. It is woven into the storyline so easily and interestingly that you never realize you’re learning history! This book is one of those rare gems that you read slowly because you never want it to end. I certainly hope there’s a sequel!

I wish to thank everyone for all the great reviews that have been posted recently!!! I would also like to take a moment to thank the women who have tracked me down to tell me in person how much they have enjoyed reading Seahawk’s Sanctuary. They are: Mary Greene, and from Dr Bill Altman’s office – Kate, Eileen, and Coleen. All of these wonderful women told me that they gladly suffered from sleep deprivation while they were reading the novel. Y’all are great!!! Thank you soooo much…

Lynne, I just finished reading The Lion’s Lair and enjoyed it just as much as I did The Seahawk’s Sanctuary! My one regret is that there isn’t another one of your books ready for me to read!!! The one good thing out of that is…maybe I will get something done other than reading!

Mary, thank you sooo much for your kind words. I’m very pleased that you enjoyed Lion’s Lair as much as Seahawk’s Sanctuary! Please be assured, I will begin working on another novel soon.
